Bafana Bafana cruised to a 5-0 win over Congo in a 2025 Group K Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at a packed Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Friday evening.
Bafana led 3-0 at half-time through goals from Mamelodi Sundowns ‘discard’ Teboho Mokoena, who netted in the 12th and 27th minutes. A headed goal from Mokoena’s Sundowns teammate Bathusi Aubaas in the 37h minute made it 3-0.
Bafana started the second half where they left off in the first stanza as Lyle Foster made it 4-0 from Elias Mokwana assist in the 52nd minute and Iqraam Rayners scored the fifth goal in the 78th minute.
