Orlando Pirates moved to the top of Group C of the CAF Champions League following a 3-0 win over Ivorian side Stade d’Abidjan at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday evening.

The Buccaneers shot to the lead when Relebohile Mofokeng netted in the 22nd minute and Patrick Maswanganyi doubled the lead 11 minutes into the second half.

Namibian international Deon Hotto made sure that the matter was beyond the Ivorians’ reach as he netted Pirates’ third goal four minutes from full-time. 

Pirates top the group with eight points followed by Egyptian giants Al Ahly on seven, CR Belouizdad from Algeria are third with six and Stade d’Abidjan are last on one point.
