Gqeberha-based boxer Sanele Magwaza gets an opportunity to avenge last November’s loss to Mbulelo Gwabeni when they clash in a provincial title fight early next month.
Magwaza returns to the Tambo Village Hall in KwaLanga, Kariega, a venue where he was beaten by Gwabeni in November last year.
Now the two boxers are scheduled to fight for the vacant Eastern Cape junior-featherweight title at a Silindokuhle Boxing Promotions tournament on Saturday, 1 February.
Magwaza is a former World Boxing Federation (WBF) Africa bantamweight champion, who has a record of six wins with one stoppage and four defeats. On the other hand, Gwabeni’s record stands at three wins with two knockouts, two losses and a draw.
