Orlando Pirates overcame Al Ahly 2-1 in a Group C CAF Champions League clash at the Cairo International in Egypt on Saturday evening. 

The Buccaneers took the lead when Relebohile Mofokeng scored in the 53rd minute. That was Mofokeng’s fourth goal of the competition.

With the backing of the home crowd, the Red Devils pushed very hard for an  equaliser and Hussein El Shahat levelled matters in the 69th minute. 

Second half substitute Gilberto ensured that the Buccaneers finish the group stages on top as he scored Pirates’ second goal seven minutes before full-time.
