Former world title contender Azinga ‘Golden Boy’ Fuzile from Duncan Village in East London is sweating buckets at a Johannesburg gym preparing for his upcoming fight against Sultan Zaurbek from Kazakhstan.

So serious about the fight is the 28-year-old Fuzile such that he relocated to Johannesburg where he continues to prepare for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continenal junior-lightweight title contest. This duel is scheduled for the Barrys Arena in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Saturday, 5 April.

“The fight is on the fifth of April and it’s a WBA Continental bout. I believe this is a winnable fight for Fuzile,” Golden Gloves managing director Rodney Berman confirmed.

Fuzile, a former South African featherweight champion, is going to have his work cut out as the 28-year-old Zaurbek, who is also a southpaw, is unbeaten in 19 fights having stopped 13 of his opponents. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
