Bafana Bafana have advanced to the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament following a 3-2 win over Zimbabwe at the Marrakech Stadium in Morocco on Monday evening.

Tshepang Moremi gave the Bafana the lead before Tawanda Maswanishe equalised for the Zimbabwe Warriors. Lyle Foster restored Bafana’s lead as he scored his second goal of the tournament.

Once again, the Zimbabweans levelled matters through Aubrey Modiba’s own goal. Oswin Appollis netted Bafana’s third goal to make sure that the South Africans moved to the last-16 of the tournament.

Coach Hugo Broos’ boys will face Group F runners-up- Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Gabon or Mozambique) on Sunday.

Meanwhile, already made it to the last-16 before their final group stages match, Egypt played to a goalless draw with Angola in another Group B match played at the Adrar Stadium in Agadir.
