Orlando Pirates are back at the top of the Betway Premiership standings following a 2-0 win over AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Tuesday evening.

The Buccaneers led 1-0 at the end of the first half through Relebohile Mofokeng’s goal after a pass from Tshepang Moremi in the 16th minute. Pirates made it 2-0 after Usuthu goalkeeper Darren Johnson had scored an own goal in the dying minutes of the match. 

As a result of the victory, Pirates returned to the top of the Premiership table with 35 points from 15 matches. The Soweto giants have now gone 12 matches without a loss.
