Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) side Casric Stars bundled Orlando Pirates out of the Nedbank Cup when they beat them 5-4 on penalties at the Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto on Saturday evening.
This encounter was decided on spot kicks after the two sides failed to find the back of the net in two hours of football. And it also took the sudden death for Stars to finally dump Pirates out of the competition.
Meanwhile, Lamontville Golden Arrows defeated Stellenbosch FC 1-0 through Angelo van Rooi’s 66th minute goal at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban.
