With Namibian boxer Errikie Errikie already in KuGompo City after landing on Wednesday morning, Mzi Dintsi, the trainer of Mdantsane’s Lonwabo Sizani, feels like hastening the day of the fight between the two boxers.
Unbeaten Sizani will take his career a step further when he clashes with Errikie in a vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Youth junior-lightweight title at the Guild Theatre in KuGompo City this coming Saturday.
“He is very happy after seeing the Namibian opponent. People are going to see what we will do on Saturday,” Dintsi, who is a former South African junior-bantamweight champion, said.
Sizani, who will be fighting for the third time at the Guild Theatre, and Errikie are going to headline Kay B Promotions’ first tournament of the year. Having won all his five fights with knockouts, Sizani will be out to extend his winning streak when he faces the Namibian.
On the other hand, Errikie from Walvis Bay is definitely not a pushover and his record bears testimony to that. He has won four times with two of those victories coming from knockouts while losing once.
After meeting at the pre-fight medical check-up on Wednesday, Sizani and Errikie will meet again at the official weigh-in scheduled to take place at 46 Bonza Road in Bonza Bay, KuGompo City, at 12h30 on Friday. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
