Sabelo Ngebiyana and his trainer Bruno Pereira flew out of South Africa for the United Kingdom on Wednesday afternoon.
The former South African junior-bantamweight champion is going to the UK to fight against Ashley Sexton on Friday.
Ngebiyana and Pereira’s departure for the UK delayed as they struggled to secure a clearance from Boxing South Africa (BSA). They only got the clearance on Wednesday morning.
Komani-born Ngebiyana clashes with Sexton in a vacant IBF International bantamweight title contest at York Hall, Bethnal, in London, UK.
The 29-year-old Ngebiyana last fought when he lost to Armenian boxer Narek Abgaryan in Russia in August while Sexton’s last fight was a win over Nicaraguan Jose Aguilar in June.
