Jackson ‘M3’ Chauke lived up to his pre-fight prediction as he stopped Tanzanian boxer Mustafa Khalid Mkupasi at The Galleria in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Thursday evening.

The 37-year-old Chauke predicted before facing Mkupasi that he was going to stop him in the third round during their vacant African Boxing Union (ABU) flyweight title fight.

Chauke did exactly that as he forced fight referee Eric Khoza to halt the proceedings right in the third round following a flurry of unanswered blows.

Tembisa-based Chauke was dominant from the first gong with Mkupasi giving no answers to whatever he was throwing at him.

Meanwhile, Chauke will now concentrate on his preparations for his 29 September clash against Sinethemba Kotana.

Chauke’s South African flyweight will be on the line when he faces Kotana in a mandatory defence.
