East London boxer Zolisa Batyi is not bothered by Mateus Heita’s impressive record as he continues to prepare for his fight against the unbeaten Namibian.

Batyi is scheduled to come up against Heita in a vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Intercontinental featherweight title contest on April’s Fool’s day.

“I have heard that he’s a tough boxer. That does not bother me at all. I’m also tough and will face him head on. I’m not afraid pf him,” Batyi, who is the current South African featherweight champion, remarked.

This is going to be Batyi’s first fight since he dethroned former national champion Jeff Magagane at the Ngoako Ramatlhodi Sports Complex in Seshego, Polokwane, early in December.

While Batyi has won seven times (five stoppages) and lost twice, Heita has registered eight wins with four of those victories being knockouts.

Heita defeated Zimbabwean Hassan at the Ramatex Hall in Windhoek, Namibia, in October last year. The Namibian will be fighting outside Namibia for the first time as he has only fought in Windhoek and Walvis Bay.
