Chippa United coach Morgan Mammila reckons that the Chilli Boys got a good draw after they were pitted against amateur side Mpheni Home Defenders in the Nedbank Cup last-16.

The Eastern Cape-based Chilli Boys are going to play at home against the amateur side from Limpopo having played away in the previous round.

“Let’s be honest, this is a good draw for Chippa United Football Club. Nothing to take away from Mpheni Home Defenders. They are a good side, second on the log in the ABC Motsepe League. They have won their match in the last-32, that’s why they are in the last-16 now. We’re gonna respect them like any other team,” Mammila remarked.

Mammila, who was previously Chilli Boys chief executive officer, knows the importance of playing this match in front of home fans.

“One thing for sure we’re playing at home, we don’t have any excuses not to win this game, especially before our beloved supporters. We’ll go out with our full squad to play this match and hope we will win and go to the last-eight. To be honest, we don’t have any excuses not to win this match,” the former Baroka FC CEO said.
