A repeat of a 2017 South African flyweight title fight is going to play itself out at the same venue – Orient Theatre in East London – when Xolisile Voyi and Thembelani Nxoshe face off on Sunday, 5 March.
At stake this time around is going to be the Eastern Cape flyweight title, a fight which forms part of a tournament that is going to be promoted by Kaya Majeke’s KM Sports Promotions.
Voyi will be making the first defence of the title he won when he outpointed Masixole Langa in Ginsberg, Qonce, in August last year. On the other hand, Nxoshe goes to the Voyi fight on the back of a loss to former International Boxing Federation (IBF) minimumweight champion DeeJay Kriel last December.
