Marumo Gallants defeated FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo from the Democratic Republic of Congo 2-1 in a CAF Confederation Cup Group A match at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Zambia, on Sunday afternoon.
Mpho Mvelase headed Gallants into the lead in the 24th minute and Ranga Chivaviro made it 2-0 two minutes before half-time.
After trying a number of times, the Congolese finally scored through veteran midfielder Patou Mulota Kabangu.
