Cape Town Spurs earned three valuable points when they beat Maritzburg United 1-0 in a PSL Promotion/Relegation play-off match at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday afternoon.
Veteran midfielder Michael Morton, formerly with Orlando Pirates, scored the Urban Warriors’ all-important goal in the 16th minute.
The Urban Warriors have now won two out of two since the Promotion/Relegation play-offs started last Sunday. Spurs face winless Casric Stars at home on Wednesday afternoon.
