FIFA announced on Wednesday that its secretary-general Fatma Samoura is going to leave the organisation at the end of this year.
The 60-year-old former Senegalese diplomat will leave the world football governing body after she spent seven years as its secretary-general.
Samoura will, however, stay in her job throughout the FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament, which is going to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand between 20 July and 20 August.
