True to his trainer’s prediction, Ntethelelo Nkosi captured the new South African junior-welterweight title at The Globe Suncoast Casino in Durban on Friday evening.
Nkosi from Mtubatuba won the national title following a ninth round stoppage victory over Prince Dlomo, who was attempting to make a fifth defence of the crown.
Meanwhile, SA female bantamweight champion Thema Zuma successfully defended her title with a split decision victory over Babalwa Nonqonqotha in the main supporting bout.
