The International Boxing Federation (IBF) featherweight elimination bout between Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini and Ukranian boxer Arnold Khegai is going to be held in Johannesburg in July.

This fight is scheduled for Saturday, 13 July, after Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) won the purse bid for this clash, which was initially thought it was going to be held in the United States of America (USA).

“We have received our contract from Tom Brown of PBC and Lerato has signed the agreement and we have sent it off. I am just waiting on Team Khegai to sign the agreement. He has until tomorrow (Thursday) to get it done,” Dlamini’s trainer and manager Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan said.

PBC’s $71 000 (about R1,3 million) won the purse bid something which means that Dlamini from Welkom in the Free State is set to pocket $53 250 (R978 540,65) while Khegai will earn $17 750 (R326 180,22). – Monwabisi Jimlongo
