Cape Town City became the only team to beat Mamelodi Sundowns this season as they defeated the Brazilians 1-0 in a DStv Premiership match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday afternoon.
Following a goalless first half, the Citizens got their goal after Jaeden Rhodes beat Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams following a Mothobi Mvala blunder in the 60th minute.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs failed to finish inside the top-eight bracket after relegated Cape Town Spurs beat them 2-0 through goals by Ashley Cupido and Michael Morton at the Cape Town Stadium.
