Kaine Fourie didn’t sweat much during his fight against Siseko Makeleni as he stopped the lad from Mthatha in the first round at the Box Camp Booysens in Johannesburg on Saturday evening.

As a result of the stoppage victory, the unbeaten Fourie won the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) Continental Africa lightweight title. 

And reigning South African heavyweight champion Shaun Potgieter registered a second round technical knockout win over Malawian boxer Musa Ajibu in an international bout.

Meanwhile, Simnikiwe Bongco from Duncan Village in East London drew with Zimbabwean boxer Ashington Ziwakaya in his professional debut.
