After his handlers failed to get the signatures of Zolisa Batyi, Mhlanganisi Sogcwayi and Abdul-Aziz Kunert, they have finally secured Ardy Katompa to fight against Siyabulela Hem next month.

Hem will be making his debut in the featherweight division when he clashes with Katompa from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in a 10 rounds bout at the Orient Theatre in KuGompo City on Friday, 24 April.

Duncan Village-born Hem will be fighting for the first time since he stopped Vusi Ngcamu in the ninth round during their South African junior-featherweight title fight in September last year. Hem has won 10 times with six of those wins coming from knockouts, one defeat and a draw.

On the other hand, Katompa has not done well recently as he has lost three times and drawn twice in his last five fights. His last two losses were against Sabelo Ngebiyane in December and Kaya Mlata two months earlier.

The Cape Town-based Congolese, who is 21 years old, has a professional record of six losses with five stoppages, three losses and two draws.
