It’s fight on as Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini and his adversary Mikito Nakano made the required weight on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday’s international featherweight bout at the Koruaken Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Rated fifth by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and 15th in the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) ratings, Dlamini tipped the scales at 57 kilograms with his Japanese opponent weighing 57,10kg.

Born in Welkom, Free State, 32 years ago, Dlamini is in Japan for the third time having won once and lost once there. On the other hand, Nakano goes to the fight on the back of a points loss to American boxer Ra’eese Aleem last November.

The 30-year-old Japanese knockout specialist has a professional record of 14 wins with 13 stoppages and a single defeat. Nakano is 10th in the World Boxing Council (WBC), rated 15th by the IBF and fourth in the WBO ratings.
