Given a choice, Ncedo Cecane would help Ardy Katompa from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) yet again as he doesn’t regret leading the Congolese boxer to victory during his fight against Siyabulela Hem in KuGompo City almost two weeks ago.

Cecane masterminded Katompa’s win as the Congolese pummelled Hem and resulted in the Duncan Village-born boxer not answering to the bell at the beginning of the 10th round.

“I did nothing wrong in helping Katompa defeat Hem. That was my job as his trainer. I will continue training Katompa as I’m the head trainer at the WBC Gym in Johannesburg,” Cecane said.

With that fight almost like history now, the former South African flyweight champion has another assignment this coming Friday as he will lead three of his boxers into battle at the Fourways Farmers Market in Johannesburg.

Cecane is going to usher Mayamiko Mozland, Tendai Sinakoma and Sivenathi Jonas into battle. Mozland faces Tsepiso Mokgadi with Sinakoma fighting against Denis Okoth and Jonas will face Mpho Mohono.

“Three of my boxers are fighting this coming Friday. We have been training very hard here in Johannesburg preparing for this tournament. I’m confident that we are going to win,” Cecane remarked.

Meanwhile, Brad Norman from Warrior Ascent Promotions has revealed that he’s happy to have Cecane training his boxers at the WBC Gym in downtown Johannesburg.

“Coach Ncedo is a very good trainer and we are happy that he’s part of our team. That he’s a good trainer was evident when Katompa beat Hem last month,” Norman said.
