SINGH RETIRES FROM CRICKET

Former Indian national team bowler Harbhajan Singh has retired from all forms of cricket. The 41-year-old Singh announced his retirement from cricket on Twitter on Friday.

“All good things come to an end and today as I bid adieu to the game that has given me everything in life, I would like to thank everyone who made this 23-year-long journey beautiful and memorable,” Singh tweeted.

Singh was the first Indian bowler to bag a Test hattrick and he took the fourth highest number of wickets – 417 – by an off-spinner behind his compatriot Ravichandran Ashwin, Sri Lankans Muttiah Muralitharan and Rangana Herath.

Singh, who made his international debut in 1998 and last played for India in 2016, played in 103 Tests, 236 one day internationals (ODIs) and 28 Twenty20s.
