Black Leopards midfielder Edwin Gyimah does not want to focus on his time at Orlando Pirates as Lidoda Duvha face the Buccaneers at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday (15h30).

Instead, Gyimah is focusing on what Leopards need to do to move away from the basement of the DStv Premiership table.

‘‘I think for the past five games we have been doing well when you check specifically the performance the team has been doing well. It’s just one or two mistakes that have been costing us. We need to concentrate more on defending,’’ Gyimah said.

The Ghananian has admitted that occupying 16th position on the Premiership table is a cause for concern.

‘‘It’s much of a concern. We want to be in a decent position so that the chairman could be happy, everybody around the team, the Black Leopards family could be happy,’’ he said.

The 29-year-old Gyimah believes that there is nothing special about the match against his former team even though he has admitted that that the Buccaneers have better playing personnel.

‘‘I would say it’s a normal game. Even though I played there before I’m at Black Leopards now and I need to focus more on what we are doing,’’ Gyimah said.

‘‘They have quality and much experienced players. It’s gonna be a tough game. At the end of the day it’s about keeping a clean sheet. Individually, I would say I’m much, much happy. So many things have changed about my game, now I’m worried about team effort.’’

Lidoda Duvha have only won once this season, drawing three times and losing five matches compared to Pirates, who are fourth on the Premiership standings with 17 points after winning four games, drawing five and losing once.
