The board of Boxing South Africa (BSA) has appointed two sub-committees in line with the Boxing Act of 2001.
The two sub-committees – ratings and sanctioning – are going to be led by boxing historian Andre de Vries and BSA board member Sakhiwo Sodo respectively.
De Vries is going to work with Thabo Tutu and the Daily Dispatch’s Mesuli Zifo while Sodo’s four-member committee is made up of Irvin Buhlalu, an erstwhile South African lightweight champion, former BSA board member Mandla Ntlanganiso and Bongani Magasela from the Sowetan.
The BSA board, which appointed these two sub-committees at a meeting last Thursday, is led by Luthando Jack from the Eastern Cape.
