Stellenbosch FC midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange has become the first Stellies player to win a monthly award.
This comes after Nange’s goal, which he scored when Stellies drew 1-1 with his former team Black Leopards, received the most votes.
Nange faced stiff competition from Swallows FC’s Joseph Mhlongo as well as Cape Town City duo Thabo Nodada and Abbubaker Mobara.
Each of the goals selected during the monthly voting will be eligible for the DStv Premiership Goal of the Month category at the end of the season.
