Siphelele Magubane is hoping for a win when his team AmaZulu clash with Kaizer Chiefs in a DStv Premiership match at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Wednesday (15h00).
Usuthu face Amakhosi following a goalless draw with Swallows FC in Dobsonville on Sunday.
“We have prepared very well for the game. We are taking a lot of positives from the Sunday’s game. We’ve been working hard to rectify the mistakes we had on Sunday, we are positive,” Magubane said.
This is the second time in as many months that the coastal side had to remain inland for two successive matches. They picked up a draw with SuperSport United and a win over Baroka FC the last time they remained inland.
“We have been in this journey before, we know what it takes. We would love to return home with a win,” the Usuthu defender said.
Meanwhile, Chiefs midfielder Philani Zulu reckons that their match against AmaZulu is going to be a different ball game.
Zulu was comparing the Usuthu game to Chiefs’ match against GladAfrica Championship side Richards Bay FC, who dumped then out of the Nedbank Cup more than a week ago.
“We are confident going to this match. AmaZulu are a very structured team. We have to bring our A game. We are in the final hurdle now and we need to collect points as much as we can,” Zulu said.
