Given Msimango is happy with TS Galaxy’s current form and hopes things will remain as they are.
The Rockets captain is pleased that they have done well in their last three matches where they won twice and drew once.
The Owen da Gama-coached Rockets beat Maritzburg United and Black Leopards with the same scoreline 3-0 and drew 1-1 with Orlando Pirates.
“It’s a great feeling that the club is starting to gain momentum. We are starting to win more games. The team is much more competitive, we are in good space,” Msimango said.
“Coach Owen has brought a lot of intensity into the team and the guys are responding well. Everyone is working very hard hence the results are starting to show. We are aiming to keep up the momentum and stay positive and soldier on for the rest of the season.”
The Rockets have done well since Da Gama took over after Zipho Dlangalala’s sacking in January. A 1-0 loss to Chippa United is the only blemish in Da Gama’s tenure.
“We have been consistent through hard work. We just need to stay focused,” the Brakpan-born midfielder said.
The Rockets are 11th on the DStv Premiership table with 15 points from 14 matches.
“In terms of our league position and how far we can go, I don’t want to speculate on that. Yes, we are halfway and we are aiming for the top eight. Personally, I think we have underachieved as a team.”
The Rockets’ next match is away to Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
