Gavin Hunt would have been happy had Kaizer Chiefs had a brilliant start to their CAF Champions League Group C campaign instead of a goalless draw with Horoya from Guinea on Tuesday evening.
However, the Chiefs coach believes that a point is a better than nothing going forward even though he wanted a win.
“Just disappointed with the result. I think we did enough to win the game. But it didn’t happen, that’s football. If you understand football, these things happen. Good positive result going forward, obviously disappointed at home as we should have won the game,” Hunt said.
Amakhosi are now going to fly to Burkina Faso for their rescheduled match against Moroccan club Wydad Athletic Club on Sunday. Chiefs and Wydad were scheduled to play against each other in Casablanca more than a week ago, but that didn’t happen after Moroccan authorities refused to issue visas to Chiefs.
After facing Wydad, Chiefs will welcome Angolan side Petro de Luanda in Johannesburg.
