SuperSport United were held to a 1-1 draw by Orlando Pirates in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Wednesday evening.
It looked like the Buccaneers were going to race to a win when they found the back of the net through Vincent Pule in the 10th minute.
However, it was never to be as Pirates failed to add more goals and allowed Matsatsantsa a Pitori to pull one back.
The Tshwane side pressed hard and their efforts were rewarded when Pirates midfielder scored an own goal in the 67th minute while trying to clear Ghampani Lungu’s cross.
Up next for Matsatsantsa is a DStv Premiership match against AmaZulu on Tuesday next week while Pirates are going to face Maritzburg United in a Nedbank Cup on Saturday.
