His coach Dylan Kerr advised him that he should enjoy himself and that’s exactly what Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo did as he helped his team Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila win the Nedbank Cup following a 1-0 victory over Chippa United at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Saturday evening.
Ndlondlo’s long range shot took a wicked deflection on Chilli Boys captain Frederic Nsabiyumva and sailed past goalkeeper Ismail Watenga to kiss the back of the net.
“I would like to thank God for this opportunity. Secondly, our technical team because they have been a supporting figure to me. They have been pushing me to believe in myself and work extra hard. I have been doing that. I think that’s what made me get this accolade. The third one in a row. I would like to dedicate this to my late mom, she’s from here,” Ndlondlo said.
Ndlondlo, who turns 26 on 28 May, has added that he feels honoured to be part of a winning team.
“It’s an honour for me to win the biggest trophy of my life. The information I got from the coach was that I should enjoy the moment,” Ndlondlo said.
