South African national Under-23 coach David Notoane has announced his squad for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, which start on 22 July and end on 8 August.  

Notoane has called SuperSport United and Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams, who together with Cape Town City’s Abbubaker Mobara are the only two over-aged players in the team, as one of the three goalkeepers in the squad. Lamontville Golden Arrows’ Sifiso Mlungwana and Mondli Mpoto from Bloemfontein Celtic are the other two goalminders.

Notoane’s boys face hosts Japan at the Tokyo Stadium on 22 July then clash against France at the Saitana Stadium three days later before they play their final Group A match against Mexico at the Sapporo Done on 28 July.
