Newly-promoted DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune United have appointed former Lesotho national team and Amajita coach Thabo Senong as their second in command.

Senong, who resigned as Likuena coach last Friday, is going to be MacDonald Makhubedu’s assistant. Makhubedu’s former assistant Selaelo Mosala left Babina Noko this week after having joined the team in April this year.

“I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mr Senong to Babina Noko. We know his work ethic and believe he will work well with the technical team while we’re trying to rebuild and ensure we have a formidable side for the new season,” Babina Noko chairman Simon Malatji said.

Senong is a former South African national Under-20 coach and was once a Bafana Bafana assistant. He also worked as South African Under-23 assistant coach.

“I’m honoured to be part of the Sekhukhune Football Club project. The club suits my values and beliefs as a person,” the 40-year-old Senong said.
