The coach of the Namibian national team Bobby Samaria is ready to fight in the COSAFA Cup.
The Brave Warriors face the Teranga Lions on Thursday (15h00) at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in KwaZakhele.
“Senegal is the number one ranked team. We are not oblivious with that difference in class. But as being Namibians, we will go out there and play with our hearts,” Samaria said.
The Brave Warriors go into the Senegal match following draws with Lesotho and Botswana. They drew goalless with Lesotho’s Likuena on Saturday and then played a 1-1 with the Zebras on Sunday.
“We had four days of training and I’m glad that at least we played our first two competitive games,” Samaria said.
The Namibians’ second group stage match is against Zimbabwe at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium three days later and they will then clash against Mozambique at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium on Wednesday, 14 July.
