Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Rafael ‘Rafa Mir’ Vicente netted a hattrick after coming on from the bench when Spain’s Under-23s beat Ivory Coast Under-23s 5-2 in a Tokyo Olympics quarter-final match at the Miyayi Stadium in Rifu, Japan, on Saturday afternoon.
Vicente came on as a second half substitute replacing Mikel Merino in added time and made an immediate impression.
Dani Olmo and Mikel Oyarzabal scored the other goals for the Spaniards while Eric Bailly and Max Gradel netted for the West Africans.
