The Blitzboks won the Vancouver Sevens early on Monday morning after they defeated fellow Africans Kenya 38-5 in the final to lift the trophy for the second time in Canada in three years.
Angelo Davids scored two tries with Sakoyisa Makata, Christie Grobbelaar, Ronald Brown and Darren Adonis also crossing the try line while Kenya’s only try came from Daniel Taabu.
Blitzboks’ Dewald Human was successful in two conversions with Brown and Adonis each converting once.
This was the second time the Blitzboks beat the Kenyans in the same competition. They beat them 33-14 in the group stages.
