Christian ‘The Bomb’ Araneta faces his compatriot Arnold Garde at the IPI Compound in Mandaue City, Cebu, in the Philippines on Friday.
This is the second time Araneta fights since losing to unbeaten East London boxer Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight elimination bout in Gqeberha in April.
The 26-year-old Araneta stopped his countryman Richard Claveras in July. Araneta has an impressive record of 20 wins with 16 stoppages and two defeats.
Meanwhile, Garde, who is 31 years old, lost seven of his last 10 fights. He only won twice and drew once.
Garde has a professional record of 10 victories with four stoppages, 10 losses and three draws. He was stopped seven times.
