Naoya ‘Monster’ Inoue is going to trade leather with Aran Dipaen from Thailand in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) bantamweight title defence on 14 December in Tokyo, Japan, according to Thai news site Komthai.

The 30-year-old Dipaen is rated sixth by the IBF and he gets an opportunity to face Inoue because all the boxers above him have commitments.

Hard-hitting Inoue, 28, has won all 21 fights stopping 18 of his opponents while Dipaen has 12 wins with 11 knockouts and a loss.

This fight is meant to keep the Japanese busy while waiting for the winner of the elimination bout between fifth-rated Jason Moloney and Lee MacGregor, who is rated third.

Meanwhile, fourth-rated Paul Butler from the United Kingdom has a date with World Boxing Organisation (WBO) bantamweight titlist Johnriel Casimero in a mandatory obligation.
