Thato Bonokoane stopped Tholumusa Ngema in the seventh round at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall on Sunday evening.
As a result of the stoppage, Bonokoane won the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Intercontinental junior-featherweight title.
Meanwhile, Marcus Lebogo defeated Sbonelo Ndzimandze on points to win the vacant ABU SADC junior-welterweight title.
