Ronwen Williams believes that the comradeship among Bafana Bafana players is going to be key as they clash against Zimbabwe in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, at 21h00 on Thursday.
The Bafana Bafana captain also understands the importance of getting a positive result from this match.
“We got basically the whole day. It gives us time to relax. This has been a short week,” Williams said referring to the late kick-off.
The 29-year-old SuperSport United skipper is impressed with how things have been going in the Bafana Bafana camp.
“This has been the best camp I have been part of. The mood, the vibe in the camp is so good. There’s no egos, that’s a nice thing. The guys are willing to fight for each other,” he said.
With Bafana Bafana having last qualified for the finals during the Korea/Japan World Cup tournament, Williams believes that they stand a very good chance of making it to Qatar.
“We’ve done the business, 10 points after four games. We are finishing it against Zimbabwe. We know them, we’ve got a bigger task. This is the most important game,” Williams said.
