Mlandeli Tengimfene has laughed off rumours that he’s interested in managing Azinga ‘Golden Boy’ Fuzile after the former South African featherweight champion was released by Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan from his management contract on Monday.

The award-winning Tengimfene has insisted that he’s okay with managing former world champion Zolani ‘Last Born’ Tete and Sinethemba Kotana.

“I operate in a certain way and have a comprehensive approach. I want 100 percent control whenever I manage a boxer,” Tengimfene said.

“Having full control makes it possible for me to accept responsibility when things have gone wrong. Zolani and Kotana are my projects. I will take the blame should they fail.”

Tengimfene, who is the 2017 Manager of the Year award winner, added that Fuzile doesn’t fit the bill in as far as his plans are concerned.

“I want to control my boxers. I want to decide who trains them. Azinga doesn’t fall in that category and I have no interest in managing him. Having Zolani is good enough for me,” Tengimfene remarked.
