Boxing trainer Mzamo ‘Chief’ Njekanye has called on people to stop ‘meddling’ in the affairs of his gym and let him do his job in peace.

Njekanye, who is in a jovial mood, said this after his boxer Azinga ‘Golden Boy’ Fuzile was released from his contract by Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan.

The Johannesburg-based Nathan terminated his management contract with Fuzile on Monday. The contract was due to expire in September this year.

“Boxing should never be dependent on certain people. Let each person to his job from his own corner,” Njekanye said.

“Let us not fight. People must know their place in order for all of us not to clash against each other. No one must interfere in the affairs of my gym. It’s my business, not other people’s business.”

Meanwhile, Duncan Village-based Njekanye aims to manage Fuzile’s business affairs now that the boxer is no longer managed by Nathan.
