Swallows FC collected valuable three points as they beat Chippa United 2-1 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Sunday afternoon.

The Dube Birds scored first through Kagiso Malinga, who beat Loydt Kazapua from outside the box in the 19th minute. This was Malinga’s second goal against the Chilli Boys this season having netted in the first round. 

The Chilli Boys didn’t give up when they were trailing and they equalised in the 31st minute after Thabiso Lebitso ran from the halfway line before putting the ball past Swallows goalkeeper Thakasani Mbanjwa. 

Malinga completed his brace when he headed into the net following a corner by Lindokuhle Mtshali in the 66th minute. This was Malinga’s fourth goal of the season.
