Hekkie ‘Hexecutioner’ Budler didn’t raise a sweat when he defeated Wichet Sengprakhon from Thailand at the UNISA Conference Centre in Ormonde, Johannesburg, on Saturday evening.

It took the former world champion only 43 seconds to dispatch Sengprakhon to slumberland and ensured that boxing fans, who converged at the venue, returned home early.

This was a keep-busy fight for the 34-year-old Budler, who is looking at challenging World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA) junior-flyweight champion Kenshiro ‘The Amazing’ Teraji in August.

Meanwhile, Mthatha-born boxer Sikho Nqothole stopped Boonrueang Phayom from Thailand in the first round.
