Boxing South Africa (BSA) announced the nominees for the South African Boxing Awards at a media briefing held at the Proteas Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks, Durban, on Wednesday morning. 

The awards are making a come back to the SA boxing calendar after an absence of four years. The last SA Boxing Awards ceremony was held at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, in May 2019.

This year’s awards ceremony is going to be held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban on Friday, 30 June.

Meanwhile, Ink Sport founder and editor Monwabisi Jimlongo has been nominated for the Reporter of the Year award alongside Thabiso Mosia and Hayden Jones.
