Maritzburg United made their intentions of remaining in the elite league clear as they defeated Casric Stars 2-0 in a PSL Promotion/Relegation play-off match at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday evening.
Rowan Human scored both goals for the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands side. Human gave the Team of Choice the lead in the 27th minute and he completed his brace four minutes before the half-time break.
The Team of Choice are going to travel to Cape Town for their second play-off match, which is against Cape Town Spurs at the Athlone Stadium at 15h00 on Saturday.
Both the Team of Choice and the Urban Warriors, who beat Casric Stars 1-0 at the Solomons Mahlangu Stadium in KwaMhlanga last Sunday, have three points each with coach Fadlu Davids’ charges on top of the log due to a better goal difference.
