National champion Sharadene Fortuin’s fight against Melissa Miller is back on in the Rumble Promotions (RAP) bill for Sunday’s tournament, which is going to be held at the East London International Convention Centre (ICC).
This South African female bantamweight title defence was initially part of the bill, but got cancelled earlier this week before it was restored on Friday.
Fortuin from Seymour in the Amathole District’s Raymond Mhlaba Municipality meets Miller for the fourth time having won all their three previous fights.
While Fortuin’s fight against Miller got restored into the bill, the same cannot be said about three other bouts that have been chopped from the actual event.
Former South African and International Boxing Federation (IBF) Africa junior-featherweight champion Ayabonga ‘Jay Jay’ Sonjica’s six rounds fight against Grey Chimkwapulo from Malawi has been cancelled.
Another bout that has unfortunately been scrapped from the bill is the eight rounder between Lerato Dlamini and Tanzanian Hamidu Kwatu.
The third bout that has also been cancelled from the bill is between rising star Siseko Teyise and Lukhona Rorwana, which was going to be a four rounder.
