Asemahle ‘Predator’ Wellem continued with his winning streak as he outpointed Tanzanian opponent Twaha Kassimu Rubaha also known as Twaha Kiduku on Saturday evening.
As a result of the unanimous decision win over the Tanzanian, Wellem from Chintsa in the Eastern Cape won the World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Intercontinental super-middleweight title at the Malaika Hotel in Mwanza, Tanzania.
This fight came just 27 days after Wellem had defeated Alex Kabangu Tshiamuanda from the Democratic Republic of Congo in a 10 rounds bout at the East London International Convention Centre (ICC).
Wellem has, with the victory, improved his record to seven wins while Kassimu dropped to 22 victories, nine losses and a draw.
